(as always, seem to rely heavily on the inherent drama between major and relative minor. therein lies the basis of all contemporary pop music)

(founded 5 august 1984)

our valiant leader (Jersey) JoGa ended up a singer/songwriter/guitarist i’m afraid. born and bred as the last line of defense against imaginary jap child prodigies that had infiltrated our boozy american collective consciousness, JoGa was raised a cutthroat capitalist in a land of fat italians + dumb angels.

after graduating from watchung hills regional high school in 2002 and earning an economics degree from harvard in 2005, he developed an all-consuming love affair with the recording arts. setting up shop down the jersey shore (in the proto-guido era), he began self-producing + self-releasing several compact discs’ worth of his own inimitable brand of organized noise:

began as a man who thought he was a loner but he knew that it couldn’t last. in lieu of california grass, he opts for a fifth-floor walk-up in the east village and a day job with ‘wacky kanacki’ (a 9/11 survivor with an addiction to lawsuits) and begins working with what’s left of the NYC music scene.

currently performs ‘round allegedly hip brooklyn haunts as ‘jogabot’ (featuring a rotating ensemble of lovable outliers subsisting on a steady diet of teenage girls, tequila, and dope smoke). offstage he switches to autopilot and partakes in caffeine-fueled behavioral experiments with varying degrees of success, bracing self for the eventual completion of vaguely apocalyptic magnum opus (an audiovisual extravaganza to be released through arson records sometime ’round twenty-twelve)
